JAKARTA – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed his leadership team to follow up on the achievements of the recipients of the 2026 Kompolnas Awards by providing recognition that supports career development and the effective implementation of their duties.
The directive was delivered by the National Police Chief during the 2026 Kompolnas Awards ceremony on Thursday (September 17, 2026). The awards were presented to Polri units and personnel who demonstrated outstanding performance and made tangible contributions to the execution of their duties and public services.
The National Police Chief emphasized that the awards should not merely become a ceremonial event. The achievements demonstrated by the recipients, he said, should receive institutional attention and follow-up so that they can maintain and further improve their performance.
“These awards should certainly not stop at a ceremony. The achievements that have been demonstrated need to receive attention and follow-up from the institution, as a form of appreciation as well as encouragement to maintain and improve the accomplishments that have been achieved,” said the National Police Chief.
He instructed the Assistant Chief of Police for Strategic Planning (Astamarena), Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources, and Assistant Chief of Police for Logistics to immediately discuss appropriate forms of recognition for the recipients of the 2026 Kompolnas Awards.
For high-performing personnel, such recognition may take the form of career development, including opportunities for further education or appropriate assignments and positions. Meanwhile, high-performing regional police units may be considered for additional budgetary and equipment support based on their respective needs.
“For high-performing personnel, career development should be considered through education as well as appropriate assignments or positions,” the National Police Chief said.
The 2026 Kompolnas Awards were conducted through several stages, beginning with an initial assessment, nomination, in-depth evaluation and field visits, followed by a final assessment by the Jury Board. The series of assessments was designed to ensure that the evaluation process was objective and evidence-based.
This year’s awards were presented not only to work units at National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) and regional police units, but also to individual personnel who demonstrated performance, innovation, integrity, leadership, and tangible contributions.
The assessment of personnel applied the People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership (5P) approach. The awards also included the Peacekeeper category, personnel serving in Conflict Area Operations Task Forces, as well as personnel from the National Police Counterterrorism Squad (Densus 88 Antiterror).
The National Police Chief also hoped that the innovations and best practices that contributed to these achievements would be properly documented, further developed, and adapted by other Polri units according to the characteristics and needs of their respective regions.
“The award recipients are expected to serve as role models for regional police units and other Polri personnel by sharing their experiences, innovations, and best practices that have been implemented,” the National Police Chief said.
For units and personnel who did not receive awards, the National Police Chief called on them to use the event as an opportunity for evaluation and motivation to continuously improve professionalism, the quality of duty implementation, and integrity.
The National Police Chief emphasized that, ultimately, Polri’s success should not be measured solely by awards or various achievements, but by the institution’s ability to provide greater security, certainty, and quality public services, while maintaining public trust.
